SouvenirSpoon.com is a free resource for the souvenir spoon collecting community. Since it's free, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. But, if you have a comment or suggestion on how we can improve the site, use the form below to let us know.

How the site works

If you're just here to browse, you can click the Browse link to start off. You'll see a list of collections. Then, click on a collection title. You'll see a list of spoons. Then, click on a spoon name. You'll see the details & pictures (if available) of that spoon. It sounds complicated, but once you try it it's pretty straightforward.

If the member who set up the collection has allowed it, you can post comments about a spoon (which appear on the spoon detail page) and send a message to the member about his or her collection. You'll see these links on the collection and spoon detail pages. Remember to be nice and think about what you say before you post it; you don't want to give anyone the wrong impression, do you?

If you're a collector, you can post your collection on SouvenirSpoon.com to show it off to the world and connect with other spoon collectors. Start by going to the registration page and filling out the form. You'll become a registered member right away. Then you can start adding spoons to your collection. You can enter a title, description, and other information about each spoon, and upload up to 3 pictures of it. There's no limit to the number of spoons you can have in your collection.

Keep your username and password in a safe place; you'll need those to log in to the site in the future. You can always come back and add or edit spoons, as well as change your account settings (like whether you allow people to comment on your spoons or send you messages).

Privacy & Security

We've designed the registration information we collect to be (a) sufficient to identify you on return visits (to prevent other people from using your profile, wouldn't that be icky) and (b) to give you a chance to volunteer information about yourself that other users of the site will see. We're not interested in profiting from your personal information, so we won't sell or give away your e-mail address or demographic information. Additionally, other users of the site won't see your e-mail address (not even other members); if you've opted to allow contact from other users, they will use a form on the site to send you an e-mail. (But of course, if you e-mail them back, they'll see your e-mail address in that message.)

We might periodically review member records for purposes of adjusting the features we're offering on the site to better meet our user's needs and interests. And, we may occasionally send e-mails to members alerting them to new features on the site. You'll always have the ability to opt-out of these e-mails. Finally, it's conceivable that some law enforcement agency could come along and demand that we provide member information to them, but that's unlikely...after all, we're just talking about souvenir spoons here, not a money laundering operation. (Right? See Terms & Conditions, below.)

We send "cookies" to your computer, which are pieces of identifying data that are stored in your browser settings on your computer. An example would be "memberid=123", identifying you as member 123. This is a feature that is usually turned on when you first use or set up your browser, but you have the option of turning it off and rejecting cookies. Cookies are not required if you're just browsing the collections on SouvenirSpoon.com. However, you must have cookies enabled in order to register as a member and manage your collection on our site. We could have spent a bunch of extra time programming around this so that people who are paranoid about cookies could set up spoon collections, but it just didn't seem worth it.

This site is provided as a free service to the souvenir spoon collecting community. The operators reserve the right to change or remove services on this site at any time, for any reason, and without notice.

Misuse of the site includes (but is not limited to) posting offensive or inappropriate material, using the site for fraudulent or illegal purposes, posting advertisements for a product or service without prior approval, violating the trademarks or copyrights of third parties, and using someone else's membership identity. The "contact" feature of the site is only to be used for personal, non-commercial, souvenir spoon-related communication. The SouvenirSpoon.com webmaster is the final judge of these rules and has the right to remove any content or eliminate access to the site for any users at any time. So play nice.

No express or implied warranties are provided, especially because you're not paying anything to use it. Remember, you get what you pay for. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify SouvenirSpoon.com from and against any third party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of the website. Under no circumstances will SouvenirSpoon.com or its operators be liable to you for any damages arising out of or in connection with use of the website.
